The Black Towers: Starting to shoot with my new Powershot G9, which replaces a Ricoh GR Digital. The Ricoh has a dear spot in my heart, but I so rarely used it that it deserved a better home. So far I really love having RAW support and 6x optical zoom in a compact but the colour accuracy of the LCD (at least on my model) is a bit weird. I picked up some Lensmate add-ons (the 58mm adapter ring, custom grip and thumb rest) which are totally awesome and make using the G9 a real treat. If you own a G7 or G9 you should check them out. Hopefully having a compact camera that I can carry around with me will mean that I’ll actually take more photos. That’s the idea, at least.
